Our Churches

The Ampney Churches

All of the churches in The Ampneys are beautiful and historic buildings in quintessential Cotswold settings.

Most have Saxon origins, or date from the 13th century and have been used for worship and life events ever since. They are works of art in themselves.

It is a privilege to have them as part of our local community and history - but we also want them to be part of our present and future.

In the landscape

Cotswold churches have been a part of this special landscape for hundreds of years. Just as drystone walls are part of our special environment, and the rolling hills with grazing sheep, so are the small village churches and great wool churches of the market towns.
